Northeast of the city of La Paz in the Province of Beni, is Rurrenabaque, situated on the shores of the great Beni River. It is known for its jungle environment, the unique landscape of the Bolivian Amazon. When you cross this river you come to San Buenaventura (Province of La Paz). You have to pass here to enter Madidi National Park. Rurrenabaque is located 426 KM from La Paz. To get there you can go by land (17 hours travel) or air (1 hour travel). From Rurrenabaque different tours are available to explore the Pampas where you can experience fauna and jungle which is characterized by abundant flora.

1st Day:
The tour begins at 08:30 when you assemble together and meet the guide and the cook in the office in Rurrenabaque. Afterwards we head to Santa Rosa in a Jeep 4x4. The trip lasts 3 and a half hours and during the drive you can observe herons, sloths and much vegetation. At 11:30 we have lunch in Santa Rosa and afterwards we head off to the Yacuma River to embark in a canoe with an outboard motor, heading to the camp, which lasts 3 and a half hours. On the way we observe a variety of animals like capybaras, crocodiles, turtles, monkeys and all kinds of birds.
We arrive at the camp at 17:00 and after getting settled into the camp we have a meal and at 18:00 we go for an hour and a half walk to watch the sunset. Afterwards we return to the camp to have dinner.
At 20:30 we finally go for a ride in the canoe at night to see the crocodiles' eyes shining in the dark, nocturnal birds and other animals. Afterwards we return to camp to rest.

2nd Day:
This day begins at 07:00 with breakfast followed by a walk in the Pampas where we arrive at small lagoons and rivers where you can see anacondas, cobras, and other animals. At 12:00 we go back to camp for lunch and rest. In the afternoon at 14:00 we go for a canoe ride to observe and swim with pink dolphins. As well we try our hand at piranha fishing.
We return and have dinner in the camp around 18:00.

3rd Day:
The third day begins very early at 05:30 with a ride in a canoe without an outboard motor to see the sunrise and listen to the calls and whistles of birds and monkeys. After this spectacular show we return to camp to have breakfast at 07:00. Later we go for a ride down the Yacuma River to see medicinal and poisonous plants. You can also see sloths, blue and red macaws, badgers, deer, alligators, toucans, etc. At 11:30 we have lunch and then return to Rurrenabaque arriving there at 17:00 and ending the tour.
