Inca Trail

4 Days / 3 Nights

1st Day: CUSCO – OLLANTAYTAMBO – WAYLLABAMBA)
We start this day with the pick up from the hotel in a private bus in direction to Ollantaytambo. Then we will have time to visit the surroundings area of the town, before making our way to kilometer 82 Piscacucho (2700 m.) where we will begin our trek to the marvelous citadel of Machupicchu. Our pace will be an acclimatization rhythm and very soon we will stop at our first archaeological complex Patallacta (2750 m.) where we have lunch, after that we continue the walk to Wayllabamba (3000 m.) Once there, the guide and the porters put up the tent and make dinner, we have free time to enjoy the scenery of this place. Afterwards we have dinner and rest.

2nd Day: WAYLLABAMBA – WARMIWAÑUSCA – PACAYMAYO
This day starts after breakfast with a walk going uphill to the summit called Wuarmihuañusca (dead woman) at an elevation of 4200 m. Later we descend and around midday we have lunch on the way, and in the afternoon we reach to Pacaymayo 3600 m. (where the water hides), where we spend the night. The guide and the porters take care of putting up the tent and preparing dinner and afterwards we rest.

3rd Day: PACAYMAYO – WIÑAYHUAYNA
We begin this day after breakfast with a walk to visit the archeological remains of Runkuracay (3970 m.), then we reach to Chaquicocha where we will have lunch, and after we continue to Phuyupatamarca (over the clouds) on the way we cross inside a rock tunel. Finally, we arrive to Wiñayhuayna another complex where we rest after having dinner.

4th Day: WIÑAYHUAYNA – MACHUPICCHU – CUSCO
This last day begins very early in the morning with breakfast. Afterwards we set off on our hike to Machupicchu. On the way we pass a forest and arrive in Intipunku (Gateway of the Sun) after 1 hour. Here we admire the sunrise and the ruins of Machupicchu. After a break we begin the guided visit for 2 and a half hours and then go back by bus to Aguas Calientes where you can take a lunch by yourself, then we board the train to Ollantaytambo and finally a turist bus to return to Cusco.

The tour includes: Tourist bus to Kilometer 82, entrance ticket to the Inca Trail, complete board on the tour, tent, insulation mat, professional English-Spanish guide, bus to Aguas Calientes, return ticket in the tourist train (Expedition class) Aguas Calientes – Ollantaytambo, bus to Cusco.
The tour does not include: Personal porter, sleeping bag.
