Terms and conditions of payment when booking with Viacha Tours

If you choose to book a trip with Viacha Tours and agree to the stipulated price, you must also agree to our payment terms and conditions, detailed below which are always per person. In order to confirm your booking full payment or a 30% deposit of the total amount is required, and must be transferred to our bank account in Bolivia or Germany or paid via Creditcard, Money gram, Western Union, Paypal, etc. The remainder must be paid 30 days before the tour starts.

Client cancellation policy

If the client cancels a tour, for whatever reason, 45 days before the start of the trip, Viacha Tours will reimburse the full amount, except for a fee of 75 EUR which covers administrative costs incurred by the cancellation. Transfer costs must also be covered by the client.

When the tour is cancelled 45-30 days before the start of the trip, there will be a 30% (thirty percent) penalty of the total price (minimum charge of 100 EUR). Transfer costs must also be covered by the client.

When the tour is cancelled 30-15 days before the trip starts there will be a 50% (fifty percent) penalty of the total price (minimum charge of 100 EUR). Transfer costs must also be covered by the client.

When the tour is cancelled 15-7 days before the start of the trip there will be a 70% (seventy percent) penalty of the total cost (minimum charge of 100 EUR). Transfer costs must also be covered by the client.

When the tour is cancelled 7 days up to 24 hours before the trip starts there will be a 90% (ninety percent) penalty of the total price (minimum charge of 100 EUR). Transfer costs must also be covered by the client.

When the client cancels 24 hours before the start of the trip there will be a 100% (one hundred percent) penalty of the total price. The same penalty will apply if the client does not start the trip, or does not complete the entire program established beforehand (for whatever reason). There will be no refund for the services that were not used.

If a client arrives late for whatever reason, due to air, train, bus or any other form of transport problem (international, national or local) and misses the tour, there will be no refund for services that were not used. Perhaps it will be possible to pay extra charges to carry on with tours still programmed in order to cover extra transport, food and hotel costs etc.

Cancellation by Viacha Tours

If Viacha Tours cancels the trip, due to political unrest, political turmoil, social problems, outbreak of war, road blocks, natural disasters, climate issues, closed airports, flight, bus or train delays, strikes, danger or possible danger to the client or any other reason beyond our control, Viacha Tours will refund the total amount paid at that point, minus already paid taxes, credit card fees and the transfer fee.

There is a possibility that some hotels, tours such as the Inka Trail, flights booked through us and certain services are subject to very strict cancellation policies, resulting in high cancellation costs and in some circumstances there are no refunds whatsoever. In these cases Viacha Tours can only reimburse the amount according to their policies and we will present the relevant documents from such companies stating their policies.

If you have an international flight ticket and Viacha Tours had to cancel a tour for any of the above reasons, we cannot give any compensation and therefore it is highly recommended to take out travel insurance in your country to avoid problems during your travels.

Changes made by Viacha Tours to your travel program

Viacha Tours is responsible for providing the client with all the travel services contracted according to the following guidelines:
If there is a significant change in the tour due to unforeseen problems (such as political and social unrest, war, road blockades, natural disasters, bad weather, flight delays or cancelations, train or bus delays, closed airports, strikes, danger or possible danger to any of the clients), Viacha Tours will provide a suitable alternative to enable the client to continue their tour. These alternatives may mean a change of hotel, different transport, changes to the schedules (dates and times) in order for the client to complete their program. However, these changes incur extra costs that must be paid for by the client.

If a transfer has been booked and the client arrives late for a bus, plane, train, etc. for whatever reason, there will be no refund.

Responsibility

Viacha Tours accepts no legal responsibility for personal or material damage, accidents, sickness, loss of baggage in a plane, train, bus, etc. or accidents on planes, trains, buses or any other type of transport. During the tour the client is always responsible for their own belongings.

The client is also responsible for organizing their international and national flights in a manner suitable to avoid any difficulties with schedules at the beginning and end of their tour with Viacha Tours.

Viacha Tours is not responsible if the client misses a flight, bus or train connection or any other form of transport, for whatever reason. In this case there will be no compensation. Neither will there be any compensation if the airline goes bankrupt or ceases to function.

General Conditions

Each tourist must accept that in countries like Peru and Bolivia there is always a certain safety risk and that medical services and supplies are not always available in remote areas. Therefore the client must assume these risks under their own responsibility.

The client must be aware of customs laws when entering and leaving a country, vaccination requirements and other stipulations required by Bolivia and Peru, among others. Viacha Tours is not responsible if these laws are violated.
Transport companies that we work with for flights, buses, trains, transfers or any form of transport, all have their own insurance, and Viacha Tours is not responsible for claiming or helping with insurance claims for any type of accident or damage caused during the trip.

Viacha Tours only works with reliable companies, such as hotels, airlines, buses, trains, transfers or others and we do not offer any form of insurance.

The client must take out their own insurance for any type of damage.

In the case of a dispute between Viacha Tours and the client, we will try and reach an agreement and if no solution can be found we will resort to requirements made by Bolivian civil and penal law.
