CHACALTAYA TOUR & VALLEY OF THE MOON

    

35 KM from the city of La Paz is “the highest ski slope in the world”, with a height of 5352m. From the top of this magnificent mountain top you can see the magnificence of the Andes mountain range and the enigmatic landscape of the High Plains.
Due to wind and water erosion over thousands of years the Valley of the Moon was formed; it owes its name to the likeness of a moonscape.

This guided tour begins at 08:30 where you are picked up at your hotel and then head to Chacaltaya Mountain. Around 10:30 you arrive at the shelter (5300 m). After an hour and a half of leisure time you return to La Paz and then head to the Valley of the Moon, where we go for a 30 minute walk in this natural attraction and then return to the centre of La Paz
completing this tour at 15:30.
