MACHUPICCHU
This colossal construction is one of the most visited archeological sites in South America. It is located on the eastern slopes of the Cordillera Vilcanota at a elevation of 2350 meters and 112 Km from Cusco. It was built in the 15th century by the Inca culture. The exact cut of the stone and its use in building cause admiration by the locals and foreigners which is why it was chosen as one of the 7 wonders of the world.
INCA TRAIL 4D/3N

1st Day: CUSCO KILOMETER 82 (BEGIN OF THE INCA TRAIL)
We start this day at 07:30 when you are picked up from the hotel in a private bus. We then head to Km. 82 where we begin the walk to the marvelous citadel of Machupicchu. Around noon we arrive in Llactapata where we have lunch, after an hour we continue the walk to Guayllabamba where we spend the night. It takes us 4 and a half hours to get there. While the guide and the porters put up the tent and make dinner we have free time to enjoy the scenery of this place. Afterwards we have dinner and rest.
2nd Day: GUAYLLABAMBA – PACAYMAYO
This day starts after breakfast with a walk going uphill for 3 hours to the summit called Huarmihuañusca (dead woman) at an elevation of 4200 meters. Later we descend and around 12:00 we have lunch on the way. After 1 hour we continue on a walk of approximately 3 hours until we get to Pacaymayo (where the water hides), where we spend the night. The guide and the porters take care of putting up the tent and preparing dinner and afterwards we rest.
3rd Day: PACAYMAYO – HUIÑAYHUAYNA
We begin this day alter breakfast with a walk going uphill to visit the archeological remains of Runkuracay, Sayacmarca which are located at an elevation of 3800 meters. There we have lunch and then continue to Puyapatamarca and later we arrive in Huiyñayhuayna where we rest after having dinner.
4th Day: HUIÑAYHUAYNA – MACHUPICCHU – CUSCO
This last day begins very early around 04:00 in the morning with breakfast. Afterwards we set off on our hike to Machupicchu. On the way we pass a forest and arrive in Intipunku (Gateway of the Sun) after 1 hour. Here we admire the sunrise and the ruins of Machupicchu. We get to these ruins around 07:30. After a break we begin the guided visit for 2 and a half hours and then go back by bus to Aguas Calientes where we board the train to return to Cusco.
The tour includes: Tourist bus to Kilometer 82, entrance ticket to the Inca Trail, complete board on the tour, tent, insulation mat, professional English-Spanish guide, bus to Aguas Calientes, return ticket in the tourist train (backpacker class).
The tour does not include: Personal porter, sleeping bag.
